Ram Food Recovery - Sign up for Leftovers!
During my Masters research, one of the solutions I recommended to dealing with food insecurity on CSU's campus was instituting an alert system to students and staff when leftover food was available following campus events. I'm glad to see that some folks at CSU worked hard to implement the system. Known as Ram Food Recovery, you can sign up for text alerts when leftovers are ready for pick up. You have to bring your own containers and you must waive your rights to legal pursuit should you fall victim to foodborne illness, but CSU pledges in the waiver that all food safety precautions have been taken up to the point of donation.

In addition, 100% of donation proceeds from this community culinary celebration benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County. Now in its 14th year, the promotion has become the Food Bank for Larimer County’s largest fundraiser with over $106,000 being donated in 2018.
